Jim Scully
FOUNDER / PRESIDENT
Jim is a 20+ year consumer/retail industry veteran who combines operating fundamentals and financial discipline with extensive transaction and capital markets expertise. He is an Operating Partner of Archimedes Advisors and most recently served as the Interim Chief Growth Officer for the Neiman Marcus Group. Previously, Jim served as J.Jill’s Interim Chief Executive Officer, Avon Products’ Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to Avon, Jim held the positions of Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Administrative Officer at J.Crew and served in several key roles during his time at Saks Incorporated. He is Chairman of the Board of Specialty Building Products, serves as a director on the board of J.Jill, and is on the board of Advisors for Faherty Brands.

Jane Mooney
PARTNER
Jane brings over 18 years of operations, investment banking, and advisory experience in both the public and private sector. She also serves as a General Partner of Midnight Venture Partners, an early-stage consumer venture capital firm based in Austin, TX. Prior to starting Elm St with Jim, Jane was an investment banker with Goldman Sachs’ Consumer Retail group out of New York. She began her career in operational finance with Endeavor Group (formally IMG-WME), served as the analyst to the CFO at Cleveland Golf, and was Head of Business Development for Axial, a fintech company. She is on the board of Tom Beckbe and serves as a board observer for SACHEM, a global chemical science company.

Michael Salmon
PARTNER
Michael is a 30-year retail executive who has spent his career at vertically integrated retailers successfully driving omnichannel strategies and operational efficiencies for companies in both growth and transformation stages. Michael is deeply experienced in merchandising planning, allocation and assortment/lifecycle planning. Most recently, he served as COO of Torrid during both its private and public stages. Prior to Torrid, Michael spent 13 years with J.Crew in Factory, J.Crew and was involved in the early stages of the Madewell brand. Michael' roles at J.Crew ranged from planning & allocation to divisional COO, which included Planning & Allocation, Stores, E-Commerce and international. Before J.Crew, Michael worked for 10 years at Gap in several planning and allocation roles.

Ted Vasquez
PARTNER
Ted is a customer-centric and data driven leader with 20+ years of management consulting and executive experience. Most recently, Ted led Strategy and FP&A for the Vitamin Shoppe and before then he was responsible for J.Crew’s omnichannel programs, customer insights, and retention marketing efforts. At Deloitte Consulting, Ted advised several leading businesses including TJX, Target, Walmart, and Sysco on growth strategy and operational improvement. He has a degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Justin Wilson
PARTNER
Justin brings over 15 years of experience building and leading internal strategy and analytics teams. His work has focused on channel and store portfolio optimization strategies, product merchandising and brand marketing strategies to accelerate growth with developing brands and driving transformations. Most recently, Justin served as Director, Marketplace Development for adidas North America where he created growth and optimization strategies to drive omni-channel sales. Previously, Justin has held various strategic planning roles at J.Crew and Dick Sporting Goods and started his career in consulting at Urban Science.

Bob Loughran
PARTNER
Bob is an accomplished and versatile finance leader with over 30 years of experience, including public accounting and publicly reporting companies. He brings expert level technical knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting. He assisted Greenidge Generation holdings in going public through a reverse merger and has significant experience in M&A, including with highly complex multinational acquisitions on both the transactional side as well as supporting integration of finance teams post-acquision. Bob is a CPA and has held various finance positions including both interim and full-time CFO positions and Chief Accounting Officer roles at Avon, Tronox and Greenidge Generation Holdings.

James Clifford

James is a 19+ year accounting expert who brings an operator’s mindset to technical and operational accounting matters with experience in business combinations, impairments, system implementations, internal controls and improving business processes. James has spent most of his career with PWC and worked with many recognizable clients in the retail and consumer space including Keurig, Cole Haan, Converse and Burton. James also has served as the Controller of Greenidge Generation Holding Inc., leading them in strengthening their finance department to conform to public company standards following them going public through a reverse merger.
